Funnest GWAMM profession?
Hi!
I have been playing for a while now and thought it would be fun to start a GWAMM character.
I did my research and came to the conclusion that Paragon was the fastest and easiest profession to make it happen.
However, after playing halfway through Nightfall with a new Paragon I decided I would rather gouge my eyeballs out with a spoon rather than spend several months farming faction with a paragon...they are just too boring for my playstyle.
So, instead of looking for the most effective PvE profession, I am looking for the funnest PvE profession. Something that will make grinding a little less monotonous.
As for my playstyle, I typically play H/H, but also enjoy solo play. I prefer to work from the midline, find MM and 55 kind of boring, and have a lot of fun unloading with R/Rt splinter barrage. I enjoy tactical skill combinations, but Assassin attack chains are a little overdone for my taste. I would prefer to play a caster, but am open to other options.
I would appreciate any input you are willing to provide. If you would like to help me make this decision could you please outline:
1. What professions you have played,
2. Which profession you have the most fun with and why, and
3. A general description of your playstyle.
Again, I am looking for your funnest profession choice, not necessarily your most effective profession choice.
Thanks!

1. A bit of everything.
2. Sin - big numbers. War runs a close second.
3. Up close & personal.
You:

- enjoy tactical skill combinations (read: abusive synergies?)
- would prefer to play a caster

Necro.
Everything you've listed indicates you'd enjoy MoP nuking. AP + PvE skills just makes it an even better deal.

really it just depends on your playstyle. if you like support, nuking, or hack and slash
ele or necro. if you like casters.
Ele just because of the diversity, (large energy pool)
necro because of the soul reaping (bottomless energy pool)
ranger is good too they can offer good pressure builds.
sin is also a good choice just because you can go Sin Bow or Sin Scythe for some area damage.
or if you like to Leeeeroy you can always Wammo
but yeah, like the above post said. Because [[email protected]][[email protected]] owns shit. Welcome to speed titles.

If you want the fastest titles, then go sin 'cause they can do alot of soloing and running, which can be used as a money source or exploring tool.
For your profession I would suggest a water ele or a Spirit Rit.

1. Warrior, Assassin & Dervish (Yeah, I prefer melee class)
2. Warrior is the funnest followed closely by Assassin. Dervish is way to boring.
3. Melee with heavy damage output.

1. I`ve played ranger, rly nice class because you can do as well mid and frontline, doing enormous amounts of damage with good heroes
2. Ranger, as I wrote, enormous damage and cool-lookin armors.
3. Imo who the hell uses any tactics? For Sparta FTW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And tbh playing rangers is as well effective and fun. I did GWAMM r6 in 6 months without no-life gaming.
But still character you play must be your own choose, if you dont know how to do it , just roll a dice, like i did sellecting my cute ranger

GWAMM is probably a lot easier with a character who has achieved legendary survivor, for this reason I'd say you'd want to choose Paragon.
They are ranged (and so away from high-damage melee foes) and have high armour (max 80 AR) as well as having access to [["Theres nothing to fear!"] and [["Save Yourselves!"] which help greatly to keep you, and your party, alive.
The Imbagon also has some serious vanquishing team possibilities. So legendary vanquisher shouldnt be too hard. - also useful for protector and guardian titles.
Party speed buffs for when you're mapping for the Carto title. [["Fall Back!"], [["Incoming!" (PvE)] (new incoming is an elite fall back).
Usually in demand in high-end areas like DoA which can help bring in the money for sweets/booze/party items.
All in all, if I had the choice to start again from 2 years ago (and still have nightfall) I'd probably go with a Paragon.

Sin or mesmer. Sin is BY FAR the easiest to get legendary survivor on. Run to Killroy Stoneskin in Gunnar's Hold and punch away in HM . Mesmer can do a litlle of everything from interrupt heal hexing ETC. What's nice about mesmers is they can switch roles pretty quick. Sins are awesome in H/H when running discordway. If you prefer midline do A/P with spear as your weapon of choice. WHATEVER you chose you do have to stick with it for GWAMM. So I would pick one of those two simply for versatility.

Most fun, for me would have to be ranger, paragon, warrior or assassin. Most effective would have to be paragon, necro, or monk. Tbh, the best advice I can offer you is work out which class has armor you like the best and stick with that.

1. Everything but the dervish. I do not approve of the scythe.
2. Casters are fun. The ritualist in particular. Cute outfits, insanely godly skill activation animation. It's PvE and everything works.
3. AP + You move like a Dwarf! -> Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support -> Finish him!
Throw in Splinter or/and Ancestor's if anything is still alive.
Still:

This.
I LOVE the ritualist - by I love myself more! (And not in THAT way! Well, not in this context! )
That's why there is no way in hell that I'll ever get close to maxing many titles.

3. A general description of your playstyle.
1. I have 7 characters at level 20. They cover all but paragon, dervish and assassin. Although I have created paragons, dervishes and assassins on ocassion, I end up deleting them.
2. Although I love my Monk best, I actually have the most fun with my Rit.
3. I like playing the Rit alone with just a pet and a flesh golem as companions. We die and use lots of consumables, but the drops are nice. . I don't use cookie-cutter builds. I just try things out.

my main is a necro, which is the profession i would suggest for you - they are versatile characters, so if you happen to get bored with one role, there are about 20 other things a necro can do.
plus soul reaping wins in PvE

No matter what prof you choose, rep titles and vanquisher titles are going to get very boring. The mission titles were the only ones I found mildly fun.

1. Ritualist. All rit all the time (well, some sin too)
2. Ritualist. I dont know why i keep playing him, but he has 10 max now and close to another ~5 more (prolly a couple days worth of work...) ritualist armor is probably the best in the game. Can do Rt/R, except MORE damage, run excellent Heal/physical Support, at the same time, and in a lot of cases, crank out some of the highest DPS in teh game (300+ damage in a sec is my best).
3. Keep stuff alive, never have to worry about looking cool, cause all rits do, High DP, excellent Support, and mainly see #2...
Ritualists ftw!
